After two years of planning, William Tyndale College (WTC), located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, launched
the Tyndale Center for Women's Ministry (CWM) in the spring of 2004. The purpose of the ministry was twofold: "To
teach and train women to use their gifts for God's glory and the building of his Kingdom" and "To minister
to women in leadership positions through fellowship, training, and networking opportunities made available through William
Tyndale College."
The facets of Tyndale's CWM included a five-course Women's Ministry Minor, a Women's
Ministry Advisory Council (featuring an incredible group of women engaged in ministry in Southeast Michigan), a series of
events designed to minister to women in ministry, and the Women's Ministry Network website.
During our first year
of ministry, the CWM hosted a variety of events including advisory board meetings, a luncheon for 100 women's ministry leaders,
a Biblical Message Preparation seminar taught by Rosalie de Rossett, Ph.D., from Moody Bible Institute, and a networking
desert for over 50 women. In the fall, WTC also ran its first women's ministry course: WMN410 - Public Speaking
and Bible Teaching taught by Lynn Karidis, D.Min., and Nancy Valentini, M.A., both instructors for WTC.
Since
the college's closure in December of 2004, the Women's Ministry Network has continued through the generosity
of some WTC ministry partners. Currently directed by Lynn Karidis (who served as the WTC Women's Ministry Program
Director), and supported by fellow volunteers, the ministry hosts the Women's Ministry Network website which allows
women to stay connected to resources and women's ministry events across the U.S.A.
You can participate in
the WMN ministry, and help the Women's Ministry Network website to stay current, by sending information about
upcoming women's ministry events to info@womensministrynetwork.org
